Help! Indie Guy!
I have recently been trying to talk to this guy I have been acquainted with for a while. We just recently started talking over texting, and in person, we are beginning to talk a little more. We have been trying to make plans for the past two weeks, all of which have been destroyed by these oh-so-random blizzards.
On the off chance that my city goes outside to melt all of the ice, tomorrow is the day that has been set aside for us hanging out.
THE PROBLEM?
I have NO IDEA where to take my guy. He isn't a typical guy at all. He is very intelligent, and a little indie. I live in a fairly large city, but the winter makes half of the city shut down. Where do you take an indie guy? I'm not quite sure if it is technically a date or not, but regardless, I am really beginning to fall for this guy, and I want it to work.
How to you make an impression on a guy like this? Do you have any unique or fun date ideas?

Retail Therapy: Myth?
I have noticed recently that when I wake up in the morning, I enjoy the feeling of putting a different combo of colours and fabrics together. But after a few months, sometimes my wardrobe depresses me. Not just makes me think, "hm, I need to go shopping," but actually makes me not want to wake up in the morning.
Or perhaps someone is, hypothetically, fired or dumped one day. Perhaps everyone around you is making you feel gross or ugly.
THE SOLUTION?
Get a new haircut, buy a new pair of shoes, clear out old clothes to donate, buy a new statement piece of clothing...All of this is considered "retail therapy." Just the feeling of fresh and new things for YOU, just YOU, is enough to make anyone smile.
Do you believe in retail therapy?

Over the Knee Boots?
I love the chic look of over-the-knee boots, which have been gracing the runway.
However, I have a few questions:
1. How do you wear them without looking like a hooker?
2. Where can I find a cute pair for under 500 dollars?
3. What would you wear these with?
4. What do you think of this trend?

Colour Matching
There comes a point in every female's life when she is faced with the question-
"What do I wear?"
In this case, I am debating dress shopping, the most terrible and intimidating of all shopping.
(Is yellow appropriate for any light skin tone?)I have learned in the recent past that if there is a party, gala, social event...always start looking for dresses as soon as you know the theme and whatnot.
My question is, how do you know what colour to wear?
I have a very light beige tone of skin, and my hair colour varies, but is usually very dark (I currently sport a dark turquoise with violet lowlights).
What is the best colour for someone with beige skin and dark hair? What is the best way to know which colour looks best on you, especially with dresses?

Hi everyone! I'm just getting started on Lovelyish... Drop me a comment if you've got some ideas on what to do first - or just to say, "Hi!"
